In paying homage to information designers, Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec’s year long dear data analog drawing project, I used data to become more humane and connect with my peers at a deeper level.
Each week/drawing consists of different types of tasks and data that I collected for 5-6 days.
At the end of the week, I drew a visualization of the collected data on one 5 x 8” index card and created a detailed key or explanation on the second index card.
This project allowed me to take chances, experiment, innovate, and discover creative systems for drawing and exploring data visualizations. It also continues to exercise my innovative skills when it comes to presenting data, reminding me that analogue can be just as effective and sometimes even more effective than digital methods in communicating and embracing data of emotions and feelings.
